End of Summer

Pumpkin recipes are popping up all over the blog world but I am not ready to let go of summer just yet! Since this week has brought us a bit of warm weather we decided to have a fire and cookout!
We feasted on Hot Dogs, Corn, and Smores. Regular for Brian, Field Roast Apple Sage Sausages on Sprouted Grain Buns for me.
I typically avoid meat substitutes but Field Roast is a local company with real food ingredients. Emily wrote about how much she loved them, so I was excited to try it out!  The verdict? I really enjoyed it! My “dog” was gone very quickly! Perfect vegetarian camp out food! Served with a side of raw corn and cherry tomatoes.

A great summer dinner made even better with great company:

Have you ever tried raw corn on the cobb? Are you ready for fall or are you still grasping for every corn cob and slice of watermelon that you can get your hands on like me?
